As of 31 March 2020, the Salvador HIV Clinical Forum 2020: Optimizing Treatment is to take place as scheduled. We at Virology Education have been closely monitoring the global outbreak of COVID-19 and will continue to follow current events to ensure that this remains a safe and appropriate time to hold the meeting on 3 September in Salvador, Brazil.

SALVADOR HIV CLINICAL FORUM 2020: OPTIMIZING TREATMENT

This forum meeting is part of the 10º Congresso Brasileiro sobre HIV-Aids e Vírus Relacionados. The meeting provides challenging plenary lectures (in Portuguese and English) followed by ample time for Q&A and debate, stimulating interaction in order to share knowledge within the HIV treating community in Brazil. The program also includes clinical case presentations to discuss real-life challenges. There will be plenty of opportunities to discuss and interact with key experts in the field during the meeting.

BACKGROUND

 

The HIV Clinical Forum is a series of interactive programs that provide an independent scientific program on emerging topics in HIV involving experts where HIV clinicians and allied healthcare professionals receive updates on the latest developments related to HIV management, where they can share their clinical experience and present the results from their ongoing and completed cohorts/ research programs.

 

Furthermore, the HIV Clinical Forum provides an educational setting where healthcare professionals can acquire specific skills that will enhance their capabilities to interpret research results and even develop new research projects.
